ESTIMATES, PRICES AND PAYMENTS

A quote is a considered approximation of the likely cost involved and is valid for 10 days from its dispatch by the Company to the Customer.

Prices of goods are those current at the time of the estimate and the company reserves the right to change such prices between preparing the estimate and obtaining the goods.

Prices of goods featured on the website are correct at the time of publishing, however the company reserves the right to change such prices.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, if it appears during progress of any work that the estimate will be exceeded by a significant amount the Company will not continue the work without further permission from the Customer.

All prices exclude VAT @20% unless otherwise stated.

Peter May Engineering Ltd no longer accepts payment via cheque. Please contact Peter May Engineering if you wish to talk about alternative payment methods.

Peter May Engineering accepts most major credit/debit cards i.e. VISA, MasterCard .
All deposits taken by Peter May Engineering Ltd from the customer for work to be carried out or products being sold are strictly NON REFUNDABLE.

All goods supplied or dispatched will remain the property of Peter May Engineering Ltd until full payment is made to the company.

DELIVERY/ SHIPPING

Peter May Engineering Ltd will aim to dispatch products to destinations inside the UK within 3 working days in most circumstances they are delivered next day from payment. In certain circumstances beyond Peter May Engineering Ltd control the delivery time may vary, so please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.

Peter May Engineering Ltd’s Courier service delivers between 8:00 and 19:00 on weekdays, and will require a signature to release the shipment, so please specify an address where someone will be able to sign for your order between these hours. We will not take responsibility for orders delayed or additional redelivery charges incurred due to no-one being available to accept a delivery.

Peter May Engineering Ltd will make every effort to deliver within the times stated but will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the products are not delivered within the delivery times which are here quoted, please contact Peter May Engineering Ltd and they will try and ensure that you receive your order, as quickly as possible.

Saturday delivery service is available but only upon special request, Peter May Engineering Ltd will need to be informed via telephone if this service is required where the appropriate quote will be given.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY/ SHIPPING

Peter May Engineering Ltd delivers to most worldwide destinations, delivery time will not be guaranteed with international shipping due to customs and clearance.

You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Additionally, when ordering from Peter May Engineering Ltd the customer must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are received.

TIME

Peter May Engineering Ltd will use its best efforts to do work or supply goods within any time period notified to the company and will not be liable for delays.

COMPLETION OF WORK

Work shall be deemed complete when the customer is so advised by the company. The customer will pay the company for all work done and goods supplied before any vehicle may be removed from the company’s premises.

A customer’s vehicle must be collected when advised by Peter May Engineering Ltd, a date and time will be arranged once all work is completed. Failure to do so may incur additional charges.

Peter May Engineering Ltd will not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused if any work under taken at the request of the customer is not completed in the specified time given

REPLACED PARTS

All parts replaced during any work done, except those to be returned under warranty or service exchange arrangements, will be retained by the company. If the customer does not specifically ask to have such replaced parts returned when collecting, they will become the property of the company to dispose of.

RETURNED GOODS

Goods will be accepted back for credit provided that the Customer returns the Goods (in the same condition as when supplied) within 7 days of delivery, the original invoice is produced, the Customer pays the Company’s current handling charges for returned Goods and the Goods were not specially ordered by the Company for the Customer.

Peter May Engineering Ltd cannot accept any items which have been specially ordered for a customer or manufactured to a customer’s specification for return.

All carriage costs relating to returned products are to be borne by the customer.
We cannot accept responsibility for returned parcels which are undelivered, please retain your proof of postage etc., you may require it on the event of a claim with your carrier.

Any problems with shortages or carrier damage need to be reported to Peter May Engineering Ltd within 5 days of receipt. We regret that beyond this time, due to circumstances beyond our control we may be unable to process your claim

PARTS DESCRIPTION

Peter May Engineering Ltd gives a comprehensive product description throughout advertising and throughout its website. Although Peter May Engineering Ltd gives accurate information due to the various configurations of engines/components Peter May Engineering Ltd will not be held responsible or liable for any product that doesn’t fit/work correctly that is purchased without prior consultation.

SURCHARGES / EXCHANGE

Peter May Engineering Ltd applies a strict surcharge policy to all surchargable products i.e built engines, engine kits, cylinder heads and crankshafts.

On the dispatch or collection of goods Peter May Engineering Ltd will charge the applicable surcharge amount to the customer. This amount will be reimbursed in full once the serviceable exchange part/parts are returned to peter may engineering and have been inspected and found to be in peter may engineering serviceable condition.

NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS CONTRACT SHALL AFFECT THE STATUTORY RIGHTS OF A CONSUMER
